company offers design and engineering services to manufacturers, architects, interior

STEFANO RUBERTELLI

ITA – Product Designer della Central St. Martins University of Arts di Londra, con un background in arte e scultura, Stefano Rubertelli applica ai suoi lavori queste sue tre abilità per creare pezzi artistici per uso quotidiano. Con un passato da corrispondente estero per la rivista italiana d’arte “L’Urlo”, Stefano Rubertelli continua ad essere un appassionato d’arte e prende maggiormente ispirazione da questo, escludendo in tal modo trend e mode. Il risultato è la creazione di elementi di design eccezionali che esaltano l’individualità e lo stile.

ENG – Product Designer of the Central St. Martins University of the Arts in London with a background in art and sculpture, Stefano Rubertelli applies to his works these three elements to create pieces of art for daily use. With a past as a foreign correspondant for the italian art magazine “L’Urlo”, Stefano Rubertelli remains passionate about art and drawsmost of his inspiration from there, avoiding in this way fashions and trends. “IRIDE” Scultura Luminosa / Wall lamp sculpture

ITA – IRIDE è originata da spago, un elemento grezzo che, abilmente rimodellato a mano, si trasforma in un materiale altamente decorativo ed elegante . La tecnologia applicata rende una perfetta fusione di elementi artistici e decorativi, che danno vita ad un ‘pezzo di illuminazione’ eccezionale nel suo genere .
Le innumerevoli corde tese intorno alla sua struttura perfettamente circolare sono irradiate da LEDs ad alta potenza, creando in questo modo un suggestivo gioco di luci ed ombre che incantano e catturano l’osservatore con il suo aspetto ‘mistico’ . Un effetto “ambiance” viene immediatamente creato in qualsiasi contesto IRIDE viene collocata.
IRIDE è prodotta interamente a mano dallo stesso designer. Questo approccio artigianale al design rende ogni lampada prodotta un pezzo unico . Per questo motivo ogni pezzo è numerato e consegnato con un certificato di autenticità.

La lampada è alimentata da un anello ultraluminoso di LEDs, e munita di telecomando al fine di gestire il colore e l’intensità della luce. Disponibile su richiesta con LEDs a colore bianco o multicolore variabile, tutti con comando a distanza.
Dimensioni da 40 a 160 cm di diametro.

ENG – IRIDE was initially intended as an art wall sculpture and it was originally made from cotton twine; a raw element that, when remodelled by hand, can transforms into a highly decorative and elegant object. Then the applied technology has made it a perfect fusion of art and design, resulting in a ‘piece of lighting’ that is outstanding in its genre.
The countless strings stretched around its perfectly circular structure are irradiated by high power LEDs, creating in this way a fascinating interplay of light and shadow that enchant and capture the observer with its ‘mystique’. An emotionally charged ambience is created in which ever environment it is placed.
IRIDE is produced entirely by hand and made to order by the designer himself.  This artisan approach makes each lamp a unique piece. For this reason every piece is numbered and each lamp is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
IRIDE is available made in cotton twine, rayon or tinted paper strings.
A ring of ultra bright warm white LED, or selectable RGB colours is powering the lamp. The remote controller allows the selection of the light colours, regulate the its intensity and access to different functions like fading colour changing.

“AURA” Lampada da tavolo / Table light

ITA – AURA è un’elegante lampada da tavolo dallo stile contemporaneo e deciso. A colpo d’occhio, si presenta con una silhouette classica per una lampada del suo genere, ma immediatamente dopo rivela il suo stile scultoreo, raffinato e pulito. L’insolita scelta del Marmo di Carrara, per un design comunemente propenso alla scelta di materiali sintetici, in combinazione con l’alluminio brunito, fa di questa lampada un eccezionale pezzo di design destinato a restare nel tempo. La Lampada è alimentata da potenti LEDs che proiettano la luce sulla sua ala aerea, generando così un’aura piacevole e rilassante per un ambiente morbido e accogliente.

ENG – AURA is a stylish and contemporary desk lamp with a strong character. At a glance, it presents a classic silhouette for a lamp of its kind, but soon after it reveals his sculptural, refined, and clean style. The unusual choice of Carrara marble for a design commonly inclined to a choice of synthetic materials, in combination with the aluminium oxide, makes this lamp an exceptional piece of design intended to remain in time. The lamp is powered high lumen LEDs that reflect the light on its aerial wing, generating in this way a pleasant and relaxing aura for a soft and cosy ambiance.

“LAB 1” Lampada da tavolo / Table lamp (for SCHERZER 1880)

ITA – LAB 1 è una lampada da tavolo in vetro soffiato interamente realizzata a mano dai maestri veneziani. La stessa del corpo lampada in vetro supporta il portalampada, eliminando in questo modo la necessità di ogni fissaggio. Estremamente minimale e innovativa al tempo stesso la rende perfetta per qualsiasi ambiente.

La ricerca e gli obiettivi di questa azienda si concentrano sui progettisti italiani e internazionali, cercando di combinare innovazione e soluzioni creative. Commissionate a Rubertelli Design London, Vì è LAB1 fanno parte di un progetto per lampade da tavolo e pendenti con il fine di creare oggetti minimi ed eleganti con l’utilizzo di materiali semplici e sostenibili. Per Stefano Rubertelli, vetro soffiato a mano in combinazione con le nuove lampadine con filamenti LED a risparmio energetico, è stata la combinazione perfetta per questo progetto. La forma stessa del corpo lampada in vetro diventa il supporto diretto della lampadina o del portalampada. Viene eliminato in questo modo la necessità di qualsiasi fissaggio lasciando l’oggetto nella sua pura essenza.

ENG – LAB 1 is a blown glass table lamp entirely handmade by Venetian masters in a single piece. The particular shape of the lamp body supports the bulb holder eliminating, in this way, the needing for any fixings. Minimal and innovative at the same time is the perfect match for any environment.

The project
Scherzer 1880 has been, for over a century, synonymous of design, creativity and quality for fine ceramic, glass and decorative objects. The research and goals of this company focus on Italian and international designers, seeking to combine innovation and creative solutions. Commissioned to Rubertelli Design London LAB 1 is part of a project for table  and pendant lamps aiming to create minimal and elegant objects with the use of simple and sustainable materials. For Stefano Rubertelli, hand blown glass combined with the new beautiful and energy saving led bulbs, was the perfect combination for this project.  The  ‘one piece’ shape of the glass become the direct support of the bulb or the bulb holder, eliminating in this way the need of any fixing, and leaving the object at its pure essence.

“LIGHT TRAP” Lampada a sospensione o da tavolo / Suspension or table lamp

ITA – Lampada in acciaio e spago di cotone grezzo interamente fatta a mano. 
La sua fonte luminosa sono sottilissimi mini neon che, confondendosi con lo spago, danno l’impressione di intrappolare la luce nella sua intricata rete di stringhe, che passano sia esternamente che internamente al suo telaio.

Its light source are thin mini-neons that, confusing with the strings, are giving the impression of trapping the light in its intricate network of cords passing both externally and internally its chassis.

“MGM” Lampada da tavolo / Table lamp

ITA – MGM è un’originale lampada da tavolo, che non richiede l’uso di cavi e porta lampade. Le lampadine si accendono quando poste in qualsiasi casella della sua struttura. 

ENG – Contemporary and essential table lamp that eliminates the need of cables and lamp holders. The lamps are lit when positioned in any cells of the lamp frame
